Jennifer Rupert – Sustainability in Orange County –April 1, 2021
Jennifer Rupert earned her BA from Rollins College double-majoring in Environmental Studies and Growth Management and throughout most of her working life she has focused on environmental issues. She is currently serving as a Resilience Officer with the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council where her team is involved in assisting communities with strategies for adapting to acute shocks and long term natural hazards such as sea level rise, storm surge and flooding.
As part of our resiliency work, they conduct vulnerability assessments, map coastal risk scenarios, and develop strategies with critical stakeholders to determine long term plans for addressing climate-induced problems.
